BACKGROUND IN HOOD COUNTY

Judge Massingill presides over: Commissioners Court meetings, will/property probate cases, A and B misdemeanor and criminal cases, juvenile cases and appellate cases from the JP courts.


Functions at the highest level of competence and diligence as; Chief Executive of the County, and Hospital Board Treasurer.

  • Judge Massingill is blessed with the ability to recognize and hire good, qualified, people to work with him for the overall well-being of the citizens and Hood County.

Judge Massingill as Chief Executive of Hood County understands the needs and demands on our natural resources, health, safety, well-being and infrastructure

 

  • Natural resources; surface and underground water, fossil fuels, wildlife, air.

  • Health; Response teams local emergencies, hospitals and personal health care providers.

  • Safety; Law enforcement, first responders, mobile command center.  

  • Well-being: God given, individual rights; protection under the Rule of Law; medical facilities and services; education; government of, by, for the people not the other way around.

  • Infrastructure: traffic flow, roads, bridges, waterways, airport, power grids, pipelines.
